The Restoration of a Laurent Giles (2013 – 2018)

1939 Laurent Giles 35′ Classic Bermudan Cutter ‘Farida’ with a  hull constructed of Carvel mahogany planking on Oak frames and Elm backbone.

• Removal and replacement of 12 planks
• Removal and replacement of broken oak frames x 6
• Keel removal and keel bolt replacement
• Removal and refitting of a all new bronze floor
• Engine bed refurbishment with new engine
• New teak deck and cabin top
• New galley and interior layout
• Chain plate and engine work
• Hull re-sprayed

Restoration of a GRP Fairey Spearfish (2007 – 2009)

1978 Fairey Spearfish, ‘Growler’ with a GRP construction twin screw power cruiser

• Complete renovation of cockpit, including new teak flooring
• Complete renovation of cabin, including timber work, galley, windows etc
• Complete renovation of external decks , including repainting the topsides, radar mast, deck hatches
• Removal and cleaning of fuel tanks
• Clean and gel wash bilges
• Engine and electrical work

This boat and our work was featured in the Fairey News 2009 and also went on to win Best Spearfish and the Perkin Cup in 2009.
